We thank God for all those individuals, churches, and organizations that supported and prayed for our Christmas gift-giving to the tribes called “Overflow”. Indeed your generous hearts and hands were able to reach out many tribal families in Northern and Southern Luzon.
After a series of preparations and meetings all of our efforts were rewarded with abundant blessings from our generous God- the maker of heaven and earth whose blessings always overflows.
It was a historical event for Medical Ambassadors Philippines and all of our beloved partners and prayer intercessors. For the record, we were able to minister among 5 tribal people groups namely the Aetas, Dumagats, Igorots, Mangyans and our Muslim brothers and sisters.
Our Overflow started in Sitio Singawan, Umiray Aurora Province last November 29, 2015. It was a rare opportunity for the three communities, comprised with Tagalog and Dumagat people, to be together in one special event, to experience and to celebrate the “overflowing love of Jesus”. It was held in a newly-constructed MAP center. There were total of 140 attendees, young and old alike. Christmas gifts and food were distributed.
The second leg of Overflow was held in Limay, Bataan last December 6, 2015. It was attended by MAP staff and MAP volunteers. The community has a lot of activities to be held that day, yet there were 160 children and 10 adults who chose to celebrate with us. It was held in Kinaragan Christian Church under Pastor Mon Borbe who gave an inspiring message about love. The attendees received Christmas gifts and snacks was served.
After a few days of rest and preparation our third batch of Overflow Team went to San Jose Tarlac, Sitio Tangan-Tangan to give gifts to our beloved Aeta Community. There are 350 families that were able to receive our overflowing blessings.
Then our team went to Aguinaldo Ifugao to minister to our brothers in sisters in the Lord. Majority of them are already believers of Jesus Christ and most of our recipients are members of the Barangay Health Workers. After they have received our gifts they offer a wonderful song for everyone of us.
Finally our last leg was conducted in Abra de Ilog and Puerto Galera, Mindoro to minister among our Mangyan and Muslim friends. We gave slippers and clothing to our friends in the coastal areas of Abra de Ilog. They all received gifts and enjoyed the fellowship.
Lastly, our team went to Puerto Galera Oriental Mindoro to minister among our Muslim brothers and sisters through a small medical mission outreach. Kuya A was our main contact in the community and were thankful because they welcomed us warmly and we were able to make friends to all of them showing that God is the provider of every blessings that we are receiving. After our short medical mission we were able to check 90 patients, Kuya A committed to join our gift-giving to the Mangyan Villages if he will be able to sell some pearls that day and he did.
All of those trips that we’ve conducted since November up to December were all worth it! We saw what others wished to see. We heard what others dream to hear. We felt what others long to feel. It was all His encompassing grace and abundance that compels us to go and share His love to these people. All in all we were able to give 1125 Noche Buena packs and shared the gospel to almost 5000 individuals. To God be the Glory!
Medical Ambassadors Philippines will continue to strive for excellent community service among our Indigenous Peoples here in our country. We will continue to share God’s love through Holistic Care. We will continue to challenge people who will join us and pray with us to see a transformed community that honours God.
Thank you very much for being part of our Overflow! May God continue to bless the works of your hands as we become the channel of His blessings!
All for the Glory of God!
