Kids’ Haven

“Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6

It has been our desire that there would be a better place for the kids to enjoy their being a kid and for them grow in Christ-likeness, a place of integrating the Bible and enjoying games or what we call the BALARO (Bibliya at Laro).

We praise God that after a few months, we already had kids’ learning corner in our Multi-purpose Center in Sitio Singawan Brgy. Umiray, where children come and play, read books, and listen to bible stories. The ministry is indeed growing and we have seen how God is moving in their lives. We have various activities for them that could help them build a good relationship with their fellow kids and most especially in their spiritual growth such as arts and crafts, music, sports and storytelling.

A few months ago after the center was built, we opened the place for the kids not just for games or day to day activities but also for sleepovers every Tuesdays and Thursdays. This ministry was designed to disciple the children intentionally and nurture their spiritual growth. This is of course with the consent of their parents. We thank God that they too, support this activity. Through this, we were also able to help them with their school assignments.

As this activity continues, we have seen how God worked in their lives. They became more interested in reading stories from the Bible. They are even excited to share what they have learned from these stories to other kids. They also now know how to pray and some of them even volunteered to lead prayer. We praise God for the 9 kids who consistently come to be discipled and grow more in Christ-likeness.

Thanking the Lord for the opportunity to serve Him though children’s ministry.
