Singawan, Umiray Multi-Purpose Center Inauguration

The prayer that we’ve waiting for a long time has finally been answered- a new multi-purpose center in Sitio Singawan, Brgy. Umiray, Dingalan, Aurora Province.

It was a great blessing from the Lord through people who shared their resources for the ministry and from the people of the community who labored their time and energy to build this center. The new and improved center is now more spacious where can now hold trainings and Child-to-child education comfortably. We now also have a separate consultation room for more privacy and a second floor where the room for the nurses are located.

The launch was held on February 20, 2016 and participated by the Barangay Council, 3 Sitio Leaders and people; and MAP leaders and former assigned nurses. There were around 250 people, young and old, who attended the said event. Selected kids and youth showcased their dancing skills, while a group of ladies did a sing and dance number. Our EVP shared a short message and challenged the local government officials and community residents on “commitment to partnership”. Testimonies from the community people on how MAP helped the Sitio were also shared. Pastor Ray Calupig officiated the dedication of the center followed by a lunch fellowship.

MOP Discussion

Memorandum of Partnership (MOP) was also discussed after the program. This is a mutual agreement among MAP, LGU, DOH, and Sitio Leaders on the strengthening and sustainability of the multipurpose building and the health care program in the community. We emphasized that the multi-purpose center is not owned by MAP, rather by the community.

Pastor Ray had a talk with the pastors who are also ministering to the Dumagat tribe as well. It was a great start to partner with these pastors in reaching out the Dumagat tribe through healthcare services.

We thank the Lord for making things possible. May this multi-purpose center greatly serve the community for His glory.
